I can't believe Allie is 8 months old today! She is growing so quickly. Unfortunately we are celebrating this milestone with surgery tomorrow for her ears. We have been battling a continuous stream of ear infections since January, so hopefully tomorrow's procedure will take care of that.
She can roll all over the place and is starting to get the basics of crawling. Once she figures it out, there will be no stopping her. She likes pears and peas, but isn't fond of peaches. She will play with a spoon for hours. Allie loves her big sisters and loves taking baths with them now that she's bigger. The three of them can soak the bathroom walls in :45 flat. She is more vocal these days and can make the dadadada, mamamama, and nananana sounds. She's starting to learn to wave bye-bye. She sleeps through the night, but wants her breakfast as soon as the sun comes up. She's still breastfeeding like a champ and shows no signs of slowing down. She weighs about 16 and a half pounds now. Allie loves being outside in her swing and has recently discovered grass. She will sit on the edge of a blanket and run her fingers through the blades while studying them intently. She has grown out of her infant car seat and is now in a regular rear-facing seat. It's been a busy month for Allie. She continues to bring so much sunshine and laughter into our home.
