On the Prowl For Waterfowl

Picking up Anastasia from school is not one of Ainsley's favorite activities. I've gotten creative about entertaining her as we wait. We listen to her favorite CDs (Jingle Bells in March, anyone?) and I bought a bottle of bubbles to keep in the car.

Today the weather was AMAZING so we skipped the car rider line altogether. We parked over at the duck pond across from the school and took some crackers for our feathered friends. Allie just ate the crackers but Ainsley and I fed all the ducks, geese and sea gulls. She also brought along her binoculars (or as Ainsley pronounces them: ba-nock-lee-ears) so she could look across the water and see if the kids had been released.

It was a wonderful way to spend our time until school was dismissed. As we move into spring I think we opt for parking at the pond more and more.
