Flashback from my Childhood

From the time I was in Kindergarten my dad told stories to my classmates and I. To this day they remember those stories and the characters. In fact, when my "Class of '98 Senior Story" was penned for our yearbook, my father was mentioned by name for all those years of stories he shared with us.

This is a photo of him from my first grade year book. It was taken in the Little Theater in 1986 or 1987.

So yesterday...my dad continued the tradition with a new generation.

That's him in the theater of Anastasia's school, telling the same stories he told to my classmates and I all those years ago. The kids VERY much enjoyed the stories. In an age where so much is competing for their attention, it was nice to see them sit and listen to his tall tales. Ainsley and Allie got to go along as well. Ainsley spent a lot of time at the school and was an honorary first-grader for a day. She cried when we left. I guess she'll be ready for Kindergarten, even if I'm not ready for her to go.
